Generator Sets
Editor: SelfIndustrial diesel generator sets are used not only for industrial purposes, but usually diesel engines are intended to provide electric power for industrial machinery, motorbikes, bulldozers and even forklifts and trucks. Engines do range in size from pounds to tons, and do provide various amount of power.
The use of diesel generator engines is mandated by several organizations. For exemple all NATO machinery for example, runs on either diesel or aviation kerosene. As for now fossil fuels, and especially diesel are the most cost-efficient and convenient regarding supplying power to a variety of industrial and home equipment.
Diesel engines can be either air cooled or water cooled. The smallest engines for home purposes will usually provide about 10 kW and cost a few thousand US dollars. The smaller scale engines power much of the mobile machinery that we see around on a daily basis: farm equipment, trucks, small
boats, stationary processing machinery and earth movers.
